দিনাজপুর জেলা দেশের অন্যতম প্রধান কৃষি ও খাদ্য উৎপাদনসমৃদ্ধ অঞ্চল। এখানকার ধান, চাল, আলু, ভুট্টা, গম, টমেটো, লিচু, আম ও কাঁঠালের মতো কৃষিপণ্য যেমন আঞ্চলিক অর্থনীতির মূল চালিকাশক্তি, তেমনি হিলি স্থলবন্দর দেশের আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্যের একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ প্রবেশদ্বার। এই বিপুল সম্ভাবনাকে বাস্তব রূপ দিতে DCCI নির্দিষ্ট লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে কাজ করছে:

• চাউল কলকে শিল্প হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি: দিনাজপুরের প্রধান শিল্প খাত চাউল কলসমূহকে কৃষিভিত্তিক শিল্প বা শিল্প মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধীনে পূর্ণাঙ্গ ‘শিল্প’ হিসেবে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার জন্য কার্যকর উদ্যোগ ও নীতিগত প্রচেষ্টা চালানো।
• অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চল (Economic Zone) বাস্তবায়ন: জেলার কৃষি-নির্ভরতা ও দারিদ্র্য দূরীকরণে দিনাজপুরে পরিকল্পিত অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চলটি দ্রুত বাস্তবায়নের জন্য জোর তাগিদ ও সমন্বিত উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা।
• স্থলবন্দরসমূহের আধুনিকায়ন ও সচলকরণ: হিলি স্থলবন্দরকে একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য কেন্দ্রে উন্নীত করা এবং পাশাপাশি সড়ক ও রেল যোগাযোগ সমৃদ্ধ ঐতিহাসিক বিরল-রাধিকাপুর স্থলবন্দরটি দ্রুত পূর্ণাঙ্গভাবে চালু ও কার্যকর করার সুনির্দিষ্ট ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ।
• কৃষি-শিল্পের বিকাশ (Agro-Processing Zone): দিনাজপুর-রংপুর অঞ্চলে আধুনিক এবং বিশ্বমানের Agro-Processing Zone প্রতিষ্ঠার মাধ্যমে কৃষিপণ্যের মূল্য সংযোজন ও রপ্তানি বৃদ্ধি করা।
• ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি (SME) খাতের উন্নয়ন: নতুন উদ্যোক্তা তৈরি, দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ উন্নয়ন এবং তৃণমূল পর্যায়ে SME ও কুটির শিল্পের বিকাশে সর্বাত্মক সহযোগিতা প্রদান।
• নাগরিক ও সীমান্ত সুবিধা বৃদ্ধি: ব্যবসায়িক ও চিকিৎসা যাতায়াত সহজ করতে দিনাজপুরে একটি Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) প্রতিষ্ঠার পরিকল্পনা দ্রুত বাস্তবায়ন করা।
• সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা (CSR): শিল্পায়নের পাশাপাশি সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতার অংশ হিসেবে মাদক, তামাক ও অন্যান্য ক্ষতিকর অভ্যাস প্রতিরোধে জনসচেতনতা সৃষ্টি করা।

Our Mission

• Industrial Recognition for Rice Mills: To undertake strategic policy initiatives and advocacy to formally classify the region’s primary industrial sector - the rice mills - as agricultural-based industries or full-fledged 'industries' under the Ministry of Industries.
• Implementation of the Economic Zone: To accelerate the establishment of the planned Special Economic Zone in Dinajpur to reduce heavy reliance on traditional agriculture and alleviate regional poverty.

• Modernization and Revitalization of Land Ports:
  • To elevate the Hili Land Port into a full-scale, world-class international trade center.
  • To take immediate, concrete measures to fully reactivate and operationalize the historic Birol-Radhikapur Land Port, leveraging its existing road and rail connectivity.

• Development of an Agro-Processing Zone: To work toward establishing a modern, state-of-the-art Agro-Processing Zone in the Dinajpur-Rangpur region to add value to local agricultural products and boost exports.
• Empowering the SME Sector: To provide comprehensive support for human resource development, skill enhancement, and the grassroots growth of the Small, Medium, and Cottage Industries (SMEs).
• Enhancing Civic and Border Facilities: To fast-track the setting up of an Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Dinajpur to facilitate seamless cross-border travel for business and medical purposes.
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Alongside industrial growth, to actively raise public awareness against drugs, tobacco, and other social vices as part of our commitment to society.
